What's Included in Our Fees

Our fees include everything need for your procedure, with no surprise chages.

LASIK & ASA — What's Included

LASIK and ASA surgery fees can vary depending on coverage. At Texan Eye, our fees include:

  • The surgeon’s fee
  • The laser facility fee
  • All post-operative appointments

Though rare, any enhancement required within the global period of one year may incur a nominal fee. An enhancement is a second procedure to fine-tune the visual results of the initial surgery. In our practice, an enhancement is required for less than 2% of LASIK and ASA patients.

Insurance & Out-of-Pocket

Although most insurance companies do not cover laser eye surgery, some companies cover a portion of the total cost of refractive surgery. Please contact Texan Eye or check with your company to see if you qualify for coverage.

Cataract surgery with a standard monofocal lens is covered nearly 80% by Medicare when medically necessary. Premium lens upgrades (Full Focus® IOLs) are an additional out-of-pocket cost above the covered amount.

For procedures covered by insurance, co-pays, co-insurance, and deductibles will vary by plan. Our team can help verify your specific benefits before your appointment.
