What Is EVO ICL Procedure?

EVO ICL (Implantable Collamer Lens) is a vision correction procedure that works differently from LASIK. Instead of reshaping the cornea with a laser, a microscopic lens made of Collamer — a biocompatible blend of collagen and polymer — is gently inserted into the eye, behind the iris and in front of the natural lens.

The procedure is minimally invasive. Your eye is numbed with topical anesthetic, two small incisions are made, and the lens is folded and inserted through the main incision. It unfolds and positions itself without stitches. Both eyes are typically treated at the same visit. The entire process takes 20–30 minutes.

Because EVO ICL works with your natural eye rather than altering it, the procedure is fully reversible. The lens can be removed or exchanged at any point — something no laser procedure can offer.
