Amenze Osa Oriaifo, MD

Dr. Amenze Osa Oriaifo is a cataract, glaucoma, and comprehensive eye specialist and surgeon. She completed her undergraduate degree in biochemistry, medical school, and ophthalmology residency all at the Ohio State University. During her training, Dr. Oriaifo received the Arnold P. Gold Humanism in Medicine Award and founded the Dr. Clotilde Bowen Women of Excellence Award — recognizing outstanding women in medicine — as well as a pre-med mentorship workshop called “Makin’ It to Med School 101.”

Dr. Oriaifo also participated in ophthalmology mission trips to Costa Rica and Ghana, performing cataract and pterygium surgeries. After residency, she completed a glaucoma fellowship at UT Southwestern in Dallas before joining Texan Eye in 2022. Her clinical focus is glaucoma care, innovative microinvasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), and cataract surgery. She is accepting appointments for both glaucoma and cataract patients.
