Leroy Ekeh, MD
Dr. Leroy Ekeh is a cataract, glaucoma, and comprehensive ophthalmologist and surgeon who brings his passion for patient-centered eye care back home to Texas. A Houston native, he earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Baylor University in Waco and completed his medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. Dr. Ekeh then completed his ophthalmology residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan.

Dr. Ekeh pursued advanced surgical training through a Glaucoma Fellowship at Duke Eye Center in Durham, North Carolina. He joins Texan Eye as a comprehensive ophthalmologist and glaucoma specialist, offering cataract surgery and the full range of glaucoma services — including medical therapy, laser procedures as an alternative to daily drops, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), and traditional filtering surgeries. He has a particular interest in surgical innovation and tailoring glaucoma treatment to each patient’s individual needs and long-term visual goals.
